NEW YORK — A tourist from England has been hospitalized after a out-of-control cab jumped a curb near Rockefeller Center and struck her and a group of pedestrians. The tourist, a young woman, had her right foot severed by the taxi. People at the scene jumped to aid the victim, placing a tourniquet on the victim's leg, while a halal food cart vendor placed the severed foot on ice.
Witnesses say the cab was swerving to avoid a cyclist, while the cyclist says the cab cut him off.
